Detailed Itinerary Fes and the Sahara Desert

Day 1: FEZ SIGHTSEEING:

Explore Fes, Morocco’s Spiritual City, after breakfast at your riad. The world’s oldest mosque, university, tanneries, and Najjarine fountain are among Medina’s cultural and historical sites you’ll explore in the morning. After lunch, we will tour the Royal Palace gate, Mellah, and pottery cooperative. We’ll visit a Fes fortress in the afternoon to enjoy Medina’s panoramic view. The Medina riad will host the evening.

DAY 2 : FEZ – IFRANE – AZROU – MEDILT – SAHARA :

visit the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will next go to Ifrane, which has been called the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its weather, architecture, and history. After a short break, we’ll go to Azrou to see the largest cedar forest in Morocco, where you might see Barbary monkeys in the wild. After that, we drive through Berber towns like Timhdit, Zaida, and Medilt as we go from mountain to mountain. Next, we head south over the High Atlas Mountains to Errachidia. Here, the Valley of Palm Trees is a lush oasis where fruit trees and vegetables can grow well. Next is Erfoud, which is the capital of fossils. From here, desert paths will take us to Merzouga, the largest town in the Sahara. At the dunes-close motel, you can eat dinner and breakfast.

DAY 3 : MERZOUGA SIGHTSEEING :

exciting day will be spent exploring Erg Chebbi. We will explore Khamlia and find little villages and inhabited residences in remote areas. We will also visit nomads who love showing off their lifestyle. We continue to locate French-found mines near Morocco and Algeria. We then return to town for a traditional Berber Pizza lunch. After lunch, you will have a lifetime experience by camel trekking with friendly camels guided by a man with many years of experience going up and down on sand with different stops to take pictures of landscapes and amazing sunset, around 1H30 walking we get to the camp in the desert where you will have dinner and enjoy local Berber music under a starry sky. wash

DAY 4 : MERZOUGA – TODRA GORGE – DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE :

We visit Toumboukto-Marrakech caravans’ salt market, Rissani, after breakfast. Climbers’ heaven Todra Gorge’s 300m-high, narrow canyon awaits. We visit another beautiful valley of Dades and Roses, where Damskina blooms, after lunch. We can visit a cooperative to demonstrate rose product extraction if you’re interested. Next, we drive the “way of thousand Kasbahs” to Ouarzazate, one of southern Morocco’s most important cities, known for producing films like Gladiator, Troy, the Mummy, and others at big studios. DAY 5 : OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU -MARRAKECH :

take the road towards Ait Ben Haddou, the queen of kasbahs (UNESCO World Heritage) and walk around. Later we will visit one of the most wonderful tracks of Morocco”Kasbah of Telouet”, ancient Glagui’s palace Pacha of Marrakech. We continue our way through the port of highest pass in Morocco – Tzin Tichca (2,260 m), where we will have breaks for panoramic views and lunch before we reach the imperial city of Marrakech. Overnight at riad.

Day 6 : MARRAKECH CITY TOUR:

A native guide leads a full-day Marrakech trip after breakfast. The Almoravids and Saharan nomads erected underground wells (khettaras) to water its gardens in the eleventh century, making it “the crimson city” due to its walls. Menara, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Koutoubia, Majorelle Gardens, and souks are must-sees on this day. Dancers, storytellers, jugglers, artists, traders, and snake charmers populate Djemaa El Fna, a unique experience. You may wander alone while discovering these major locations. .

Day 7: MARRAKECH – AIRPORT:

  Free time until your flight departure then we drive to the airport and this will be the end of your Tour.
